Losing weight- The Glo’ up

 

You guys asked and asked and asked and I’ve listened! How did I lose weight? Well to be very honest I ate healthy and exercised a little but I’ll give a mini breakdown and include before and after pictures.

First things first, self love; that’s the most important armor you’re going to need in your weight loss journey, you have to love , appreciate and accept yourself the way you are then grow from there …

I started from 86kg guys, a whole 86kg and I dropped to 67/68kg I think. I never even felt I was overweight , I was just living my best life o but that’s another story.

Basically, I was on a low carb diet and I didn’t exercise (Cos I don’t understand why I’ll be running when nobody is chasing me). But I took long walks every single day at least 5,000 steps a day to keep my body in shape, for cardio and for exercise. I tried to take really brisk walks and I ensured I was sweating during these walks.

Yeah then I was super conscious about my calorie intake, I always checked the ingredients and how high the calories were in foods. Also eating at home really really helped like preparing my own food and meal prepping was an amazing step in the right direction for meeee. Then I gave myself a cheat day but I also tried not to go overboard with it. Then I only prepared my food with coconut oil, butter(President or Ambassador), tallow, olive oil or natural oils from animals (ewwww). A lot of these processed oils have a way Abeg.

Then I cut out certain foods from my diet, this was hard afffff but the game is the game , beauty is pain last last. So I stopped taking soda, fruit juices, infact anything that wasn’t water, soda water, green smoothies or tea I was not ingesting into my body. I also cut out biscuits except crackers, sweets, ice-cream, you know all those sugary things… I stopped taking them. Then starchy foods and high carb foods like pasta, rice, yam, potatoes, plantain and all I drastically reduced my intake and if I was even to have it I’ll take maybe the rice in tiny portions and then a lot of vegetables and salad with it. I mostly ate fatty foods, high protein foods and vegetables, very limited amount of carbs . That’s a super brief summary of how I lost weight 🤷🏽‍♀️.

FLAT TUMMY DETOX WATER

This is the detox water I showed earlier on my instagram story, I usually do one week in, one week off, in that manner.

Ingredients

Ginger

Cucumber

Lemon

Mint leaves

Water.

Process

Dice the cucumber and put it in a cup or bottle that has a cover, grate the ginger lo allow it infuse properly into the combination, cut half a lemon, put mint leaves, full container with water and let it sit for a bit. After about 15-20 minutes you can start sipping on it, when the waters going down, add some more water and let it sit again, I usually sip on it the whole day.

But plis dears, if you’re not making an attempt at eating right, this might not work for you .
